Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiovascular laboratory and surgical environment. The role monitors patient conditions and physiologic and hemodynamic data, supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and ensures procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and inventory are prepared for clinical care.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license; current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire and maintained as current; at least 1 year of clinical experience in a cardiovascular laboratory performing cardiac procedures or in a critical care area.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients; addresses psychosocial, physical, and general care needs related to the surgical environment; communicates with physicians regarding patient condition; assesses procedure room and equipment readiness; obtains supplies for individual cases; monitors and records patient conditions continuously during cardiovascular laboratory procedures; assists with equipment and inventory maintenance; and participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
