Job Details

  • Position Description:
    Performs comprehensive assessments, delivering appropriate patient care across all age groups, from Pediatric to Geriatric. Demonstrates competent clinical skills supporting patient care activities and emergency procedures. Maintains accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient progress, ensuring compliance with documentation guidelines.
    Demonstrates professionalism by adhering to policies and identifying areas for growth. Responds courteously to patients, families, and team members, promoting a patient-centered environment, while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Implements safety protocols by following the National Patient Safety Goals, using proper transfer techniques, and identifying patients with two identifiers. Demonstrates knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment relevant to surgical patients, tailoring care and evaluating patient reactions and understanding. Contributes to the perioperative team by prioritizing care based on patient needs and changes in condition. Supports pre-operative and post-operative patient education, including assessment and documentation, involving patients and family members actively. Supports the completion of patient testing and evaluates pre-admission orders for accuracy concerning proposed surgeries, patient age, and health status.
  • Required Qualifications:
    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must hold active RN license. Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS. Experience in Patient Assessment, Clinical Skills, Emergency Equipment Operation, Documentation.
  • Schedule:
    Dayshift, 9-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. The schedule includes a 4-day workweek with shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires participation in STEMI on-call shifts totaling 10-12 per month, including 1 to 2 weekends (Friday 5 pm to Monday 7 am).
  • Additional Information:
    This position involves supporting pre-admission testing, evaluating orders for appropriateness, and ensuring timely completion of patient testing related to cardiac procedures. The candidate must be experienced in critical care settings, familiar with cardiac procedures and equipment, and skilled in patient education and safety protocols.
