Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) RN in Illinois. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab. The role includes performing and assisting with advanced cardiac procedures within a level II trauma center environment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years' nursing experience with at least 1 year specifically in cardiac cath lab procedures.
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (0700-1730), totaling 40 hours per week.
- Specialized Skills: Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, vascular studies, medication administration related to cardiac care, and proficiency with Cerner charting system.
- Additional Responsibilities: Conducting complex procedures such as ASD closures, cardiac stent placements, IABP and Impella insertions, transesophageal echocardiography, and managing patients during peri-procedural phases.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge experience and trauma level II experience are advantageous.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Start Date: 11/02/2026, with an end date of 02/01/2027.
