Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab. The position supports electrophysiology procedures, including device implants, ablations, hemodynamic monitoring, and catheter insertion. The role requires an experienced cardiac catheterization laboratory nurse capable of scrubbing, circulating, providing conscious sedation, and supporting newer staff members.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of experience; recent electrophysiology experience involving device implants and ablations; experience with circulating, scrubbing, hemodynamic monitoring, and insertion of intra-arterial and venous catheters; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; willingness to participate in call coverage.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week. Call coverage typically consists of 912 shifts per month, with a 30-minute response time; weekends and holidays are not routinely scheduled unless assigned for call.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating during procedures, providing conscious sedation, supporting structural heart cases in the operating room, and caring for adult patients with coronary artery disease and cardiac devices such as pacemakers. The department supports electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization, and interventional radiology procedures. Four days of department-specific orientation are provided. Self-scheduling is available, and holiday call is rotated among staff.
