Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring interventional cath lab experience and an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 cath lab rooms
  • Staffed by a mix of RNs and cardiovascular technologists, approximately 10-11 staff per day
  • Patient ratio of 3 staff per room
  • Utilizes GE X-ray/MacLab equipment
  • Meditech EMR
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • No floating required
  • On-call required some weekdays and weekends, with a 30-minute call-back response time

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required
  • RCIS and RT certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Experience working in an interventional cardiac cath lab required
  • Experience in a high-volume lab handling complex cases preferred
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
  • Assist with Impella and balloon-pump procedures
  • Manage peripheral cases and complex PCIs
  • Occasionally work with specialty devices
  • Fast-paced, high-volume lab environment requiring an easy-going, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Attendance and professionalism are emphasized as critical to the role
  • Light blue scrubs provided by the hospital
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, with no local candidates accepted
