Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a fast-paced, high-volume interventional lab requiring VA or compact RN licensure and prior cath lab experience.

Details

Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 cath lab rooms and 10-11 staff per day
Day shift only, no night shift staffing
Staffing ratio of 3 staff per room
Uses GE X-ray/MacLab equipment
Meditech EMR
Shift hours 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
No floating required
On-call required some weekdays and weekends with 30-minute call-back response expectation

Requirements

Active RN license (VA or Compact)
BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted, must not expire within first 30 days of start)
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab required
Experience in interventional cardiac cath lab required
Experience in high-volume lab handling complex cases preferred
No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
Assist with Impella and balloon-pump procedures
Handle peripheral cases and complex PCIs
Occasional device cases
Best suited for candidates who are easy-going, kind, and able to work in a fast-paced, busy lab environment
Scrubs provided by hospital in light blue color
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
