Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of interventional cardiology experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit in a 90-bed hospital caring for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures
• Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Every other weekend required with on-call coverage
• Call requirements of more than 12 days
• Interventional radiology float required
• Cath lab staff also covers cath, stress testing, TEE, and tilt table procedures
• Occasional IR procedures including vascular embolization, ports, vascular stenting, and nephrostomy tube
• Uses GE fluoroscopy equipment, transitioning to CHANGE for hemodynamics
• Cerner EHR system used

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or compact) required
• RRT or RCIS certification required
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Skilled in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Preferred experience with manifold, IVUS, FFR, IVL, Impella, IABP, and pre/post unit care
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active license verification via Nursys required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the cardiac cath lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures for CAD and related diagnoses
• Work alongside a team including RN and Scrub Tech (RRT or RCIS) staff
• Team player mentality valued in this collaborative unit
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
