Cath Lab Nurse

Minimum Experience

2 years

Skills Required

• Administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Assessment and monitoring of clinical status of patients
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab
• Understanding of radiation safety and infection control
• Keen knowledge of hemodynamic support
• Effective communication with the patient care team, patients, and their families

Licensure & Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Patient Types

• Cardiac diagnostics and interventions
• Implantable devices
• EP mapping and ablation
• Vascular diagnostics and interventions
• Interventional radiology

Technology

Experience with EMR systems including EPIC and Merge is preferred.

Shift Information

Shift times are from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

Weekend coverage is managed through on-call rotation only; approximately every fourth weekend from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM, and one weekday on-call shift per week from the end of the shift until 7:00 AM the following morning.

Uniform

Navy scrubs will be provided.
