Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab position for a healthcare professional providing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The role supports cardiac, vascular, neurological, and stroke services, with responsibility for procedural monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and specialized cardiac device care. The position follows a day schedule with required call coverage.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience; active compact state license in hand; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; experience with cardiac procedures, interventional cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, stroke and neurological procedures, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) placement and removal, Impella insertion, procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia management, vascular access, cardioversion, stent placement, and diagnostic right- and left-heart catheterization.
- Preferred Qualifications: Electronic medical record charting experience; Level II trauma experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with one weeknight of call per week and one weekend of call per month.
- Additional Information: Expected patient ratio is 1:1. The position serves adult and geriatric patients and may involve diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, interventional radiology, neurological and stroke procedures, pulmonary artery line monitoring, computerized documentation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and management of cardiac dysrhythmias.
