Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab, Asheville, North Carolina: The registered nurse prepares and recovers patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The role supports procedural patients with responsibilities including sheath removal, groin management, cardioversions, radial access-site management, and general anesthesia recovery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week. Two shifts are scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and one shift is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Assignment Dates: 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
- Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Intensive care unit or cardiac step-down experience.
- Critical care and/or previous procedural experience.
- Competency in sheath removal.
- Experience caring for patients with cardiac diagnoses.
- Moderate sedation experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology laboratory experience, including exposure to structural heart procedures.
- Additional Information: The role includes preparation and recovery of cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory patients, sheath removal, groin management, cardioversions, radial access-site management, telemetry monitoring, and general anesthesia recovery. Floating may rarely be required to interventional radiology pre- and post-procedure areas, with flexibility based on patient volume. No weekly call or weekend shifts are required. Green scrubs are required.
