Description

American Traveler is hiring a Burn Trauma ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Burn Trauma ICU unit within a hospital setting on the 3rd floor of the C Tower
• 30-bed unit with approximately 85 staff members
• Patient ratios of 2:1 in ICU and 4:1 in PCU
• Utilizes critical care equipment and Burn ICU/Trauma ICU technology
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires working 2 weekends per pay period
• Floating required to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU required
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required
• BSN preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• No employment gaps equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform wound care, respond to codes, manage EVDs, and administer MTP as part of daily responsibilities
• Best suited for team-oriented candidates who are comfortable asking questions and offering help to colleagues
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, with no local candidates accepted
