Intensive Care Unit Nurse (ICU Burn) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves working on an 11-bed acuity adaptable unit within a Level One Trauma Center and Wisconsin's only ACS-verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Center. The role requires providing compassionate critical care to adult and pediatric patients with burns and complex wounds, participating as part of a multidisciplinary team, and adhering to the facility's high standards of patient safety and care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 08/31/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact nurse license; minimum 2 years of recent inpatient acute care experience in the specified specialty within the last 3 years; ICU experience; Epic electronic medical record experience; BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; valid driver's license is not specified; no mention of specific location requirements beyond Wisconsin; experience in patient management and charting systems as required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with burn patients, trauma level II experience, neuro ICU experience, community hospital experience, and familiarity with particular clinical skills such as arterial line management, ventilator management, and complex wound care.
- Additional Information: The role may require floating to other units as needed. Candidate must pass strict Telemetry test with adult and pediatric cardiology components before starting. The facility offers multiple support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty area.
