Common Diagnoses: Anything post ICU, post shock, post stroke, initiating critical care unit level of care while pending transfer, pneumonia, CHF, post cardiac arrest, non-DKA, respiratory failure for weaning or unweaning pending tracheostomy for short or long-term placement, and more.
Job Duties: Vitals, A.M./P.M. care, restocking, running errands, EKGs, outputs, bladder scanning, and blood glucose monitoring.
Tele/Monitor Techs: Centralized telemonitoring is available 24/7.
Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry appropriately and communicate changes with the physician for the appropriate intervention.
Schedule is made 4 weeks in advance.
Weekend Requirements: A minimum of every other weekend.
Holiday Requirements: May be asked to participate in the holiday rotation.
There is no call or standby requirement.
