Job Description & Requirements

RN Behavioral Health – San Leandro, CA
Start: 10/05/2026 | 13 weeks | 5x8 Mid Shift: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
Patient Ratio: 1:6 | Every Other Weekend | No Call
Float: Other psych units/PES and other inpatient units as needed
Experience Required:
- 2 years RN experience
- Acute Psych Hospital experience required
- BHS ED experience strongly preferred
- Previous Charge RN experience required
- Complex psychiatric disorders/treatments
- Adult inpatient/locked unit experience
- Epic experience required
Required License & Certifications:
- CA RN License – must be active at submission
- BLS
- CPI
Documents Needed for Submission:
- Updated Resume
- CA RN License
- BLS + CPI certifications
- 2 supervisor references preferred
- RTO requires facility approval
Other Requirements:
- COVID vaccine required; medical exemption only
- 75-mile radius rule
- Labs within 48–72 hours after signing
- Modules average 7.25 hours, non-billable
- Permanent employees must be separated for 6+ months
- No specific charting experience required per compliance, but Epic is listed as required in the job requirements
