Description
American Traveler is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for an Adolescent Mood Disorders unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and prior charge nurse experience.
Details
- Psychiatric hospital setting on a Behavioral Health unit specializing in Adolescent Mood Disorders
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Uses Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR
- Floating required to any age population as scheduling needs dictate
- No on-call requirements
- May be required to work as charge RN during a shift
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact); Maryland compact license required, license must be in-hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR experience preferred
- Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted
- Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via Livescan prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to adolescent patients with mood disorders
- May serve in charge RN capacity during scheduled shifts
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- One pre-approved RTO request allowed
- Former permanent employees must wait a full year before applying for a travel position
