Key Responsibilities

• Float across all inpatient behavioral health units serving children, adolescent, and adult patient populations as scheduling requires
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, apply sound clinical judgment, and delegate tasks appropriately across diverse psychiatric settings
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and serve in a charge RN capacity when required by the facility during a shift
• Document patient care accurately using the Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR system
• Complete all required facility orientation modules via the Relias/Net Learning portal prior to and during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent RN license in hand at time of submittal — temporary licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6–12 months in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Must successfully pass a drug screen on the first attempt; facility strictly enforces this requirement regardless of prescriptions held
• Fingerprinting must be completed in the state of Maryland via LiveScan — receipt of completion required prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR
• Experience working across multiple inpatient psychiatric units or in a float pool environment
• Strong delegation and leadership skills with the ability to adapt quickly to varied patient populations
