Job Summary:
The Certified First Surgical Assistant (Specialty) position is based at a healthcare facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves supporting cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries. The assignment is scheduled for a 13-week period, with shifts typically running from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro, and hold certifications such as CSFA, CFA, or SA-C.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in cardiac open heart first assist procedures and familiarity with procedures like CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, aorta repair (open and endoscopic), and thoracic surgeries are prioritized.
Additional Information: The role involves working on a unit with a minimum of 2.5 CVORs, supporting the main operating room, and adhering to hospital dress code and policies. Weekend and on-call rotations are part of the schedule, with rotations every third weekend and weekday.
