Herbert Wertheim College of Business
Responsibilities
Originates travel requests, cash advances, travel, and expense reimbursements to Wertheim College of Business students through Concur. Works directly with students traveling on behalf of the Wertheim College for student professional development opportunities, including travel requests, expense reports, and other methods that adhere to University policies and procedures. Holds a Travel Card.
Responsible for reconciling monthly financial statements for Wertheim College travel and student professional funds. Works with the Senior Travel Administrator to monitor area travel budgets and report to the Dean's office. Ensures that expense reports are flowing correctly and check payments have been reconciled or redistributed as needed.
Communicates and interprets University policies and procedures with the appropriate directors, department chairs, faculty, staff, and students. Assists the Assistant Director for Finance and Administration and Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration to develop controls to ensure compliance with the University policies and procedures.
Partners with Wertheim College Business Analyst to support and maintain reporting system for students with eligible professional development funds. Partners with the Wertheim College's Student Engagement team and Business Career Services office to promote professional development opportunities to students. Educates students on proper utilization of funds.
Assists the Senior Travel Administrator in processing other travel transactions during peak periods. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of relevant experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
