Job Details
- Position Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); 1 year of nursing experience; Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Additional Information: Treats both adults and pediatrics; position is inpatient and outpatient. Some peripheral access but majority of patients have ports that the candidate must access; primary equipment is Optia. The role involves assessing and planning patient care, education, discharge planning, and participating in performance improvement activities. The candidate will demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects. Collaborates with multidisciplinary resources, develops goals for professional growth, and promotes intra/interdepartmental collaboration. Recognizes data from complex situations to determine care priorities, assesses discharge needs, and develops relationships with families to promote advocacy and understanding.
