- Weekly Pay:$1,950 to $2,150
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare anesthesia machines, equipment, carts, and supplies for surgical and procedural cases
- Assist anesthesia providers with the setup and breakdown of anesthesia equipment
- Ensure anesthesia supplies are available, properly stocked, and ready for scheduled procedures
- Inspect anesthesia machines, monitors, airway equipment, and related supplies for proper functionality
- Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctioning or damaged equipment promptly
- Assist with the cleaning, disinfection, and appropriate processing of anesthesia equipment according to infection prevention standards
- Maintain anesthesia carts and procedure areas in an organized and ready-to-use condition
- Assist with transporting and positioning equipment and supplies as needed
- Support operating room turnover by ensuring anesthesia equipment is cleaned, restocked, and prepared for the next procedure
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and communicate supply shortages to the appropriate department
- Follow facility policies regarding equipment handling, infection prevention, patient safety, and workplace safety
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, nurses, surgical technologists, and other perioperative staff
- Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment checks, maintenance, and supplies
- Respond efficiently to urgent requests from the anesthesia and surgical teams
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician or related healthcare technology program preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Anesthesia Technician experience
- ASAAT certification required by facility
- Current BLS Certification required
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, airway devices, monitoring equipment, and perioperative supplies
- Experience working in an operating room, procedural suite, or acute-care hospital environment
- Knowledge of infection prevention, equipment cleaning, and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
