Advantage Staffing Services is seeking a travel Anesthesia Technician for a travel job in Brighton, Massachusetts.
MID - 8hr 40hr Evenings, 3:00p - 11:30p. LOCAL VS TRAVEL: TALENT WHO RESIDE LESS THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY WILL BE AT A LOCAL RATE; THE LOCAL RATE IS $5 LESS THAN THE POSTED BILL RATE. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required Graduate of anesthesia technology program. CERTIFICATION/LICESNSURE: Current BLS Certification required. Anesthesia Technician Certification required. EXPERIENCE: One year Anesthesia Tech experience in a multi-disciplined OR in an acute care hospital setting preferred OR one year in a Critical Care or Stepdown unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong follow-through and understanding of the principle of universal precautions. Strong mechanical skills required. Highly organized with attention to detail. Capable of working independently. Excellent interpersonal skills. Adaptable and able to respond quickly and adequately to constant change. POSITION SUMMARY: The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in various Operating rooms across BMC-Brighton. Individuals in this position are proficient in the maintenance and restocking of anesthesia supplies and equipment in the operating room, and when available, responds to codes with anesthesia. The Anesthesia Technician checks and supplies anesthesia carts and machines, checks, and replaces anesthesia gas tanks, disassembles used anesthesia equipment, disinfects machines and supply carts, replaces used products and supplies transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring. This position has significant patient contact while assisting in transport and procedures. Works collaboratively with Anesthesia, Nursing staff, and off-site resources. Assists with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and post operatively by cleaning, maintaining, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplied.
