Travel Anesthesia Technician - $1,242 per week in Rochester, NY

Responsibilities include the preparation of anesthesia equipment prior to patient arrival. You will place anesthesia monitors and ensure the cleanliness of anesthesia equipment. Ensure the availability of specialized anesthesia equipment and supplies. Set up medications and supplies where applicable. Continuously communicate with anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesia technologists to meet their needs throughout the day. Assist clinicians with difficult intubations and the placement of central line catheters. Operate the cell-saver machine and keep track of lab reports. Participate in advanced surgical cases including cardiac, liver transplant, vascular, thoracic, and trauma procedures. Provide on-call coverage as needed. Focus on ensuring anesthesia equipment is in good working order and that preventive maintenance is completed. Set up and operate sophisticated equipment, performing advanced troubleshooting. Serve as the key resource person in using and maintaining specialized equipment. Assist in the development and implementation of in-service training programs. Help train staff in the roles and responsibilities of an anesthesia technologist. Perform anesthesia equipment setup and troubleshooting tasks. Set up rooms between cases and ensure the proper setup of carts throughout the day. Provide full service setup at the end of the day. Work with other units to ensure the availability of specialized anesthesia equipment. Assist with the setup and support of out-of-OR procedures for anesthesia care. Provide backup to the shift supervisor in their absence due to vacation or illness. Perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or chief anesthesia technologist.
