Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital assignment, requiring 1+ year of acute care experience and a South Carolina or Multistate Compact OT license.

Details

  • Acute inpatient occupational therapy unit within a hospital-based setting
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p
  • Weekend coverage required approximately 1-2 times per month
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Current South Carolina or Multistate Compact Occupational Therapist license required at start of contract (license required if applicable)
  • BLS certification required
  • NBCOT certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Valid driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide occupational therapy services to acute inpatient hospital patients
  • Red scrub top and black scrub pants required
  • Free parking available on-site
  • During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
  • Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted for this position
