    Description

    We''re currently in need of a Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse Coordinator to support the Trauma Services Department. Will be responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes.

    The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager (TPM), provides coordination and facilitation of performance improvement data collection, analysis, trending and benchmarking of data and outcomes. The Trauma PI Coordinator will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants and multidisciplinary trauma team members to assure quality patient outcomes across the continuum of care as well as collaborates closely with Trauma Program leadership to assure compliance with Trauma standards and guidelines.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Level of Education

    Minimum:

    • AA Degree in Nursing

    Preferred:

    • BSN

    Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

    Minimum:

    • Current Registered Nurse in California American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certified. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).

    Preferred:

    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certified.

    Technical Requirements

    Minimum:

    • Clinical expertise in the practice of trauma nursing.

    Years of Related Work Experience

    Minimum:

    • 2 years of experience in trauma nursing, including experience in quality assurance.

    Preferred:

    • 5 years of experience in trauma nursing, teaching, and quality assurance.

    • Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health's annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
