Job Title: Shipper Support Case Specialist (L3)

Job Description

The Shipper Support Case Specialist (L3) provides critical support to vendors and sellers using inbound transportation services by resolving operational issues, maintaining high service quality, and building strong relationships across an extensive shipper network. This contract-to-hire role is based onsite at the AZA1 building in Tempe and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will manage shipper support cases through a proprietary communication platform, apply analytical thinking to logistics challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement in transportation operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process and resolve shipper support cases using a proprietary communication platform.
  • Research and resolve missed pickup issues and other transportation disruptions affecting inbound freight.
  • Maintain established case resolution goal rates while sustaining high quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct proactive outreach calls to vendors, sellers, and carriers when necessary to prevent or resolve issues.
  • Document case resolutions clearly and maintain accurate records to support continual process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with carriers and vendors to ensure successful freight pickup and delivery.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to solve complex logistics and transportation challenges.
  • Analyze case data using spreadsheets and filtering tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Verify and validate information related to shipments, vendors, and transportation activities.
  • Track products and shipment statuses to ensure timely and accurate movement through the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and carriers to support long-term operational success.
  • Handle ambiguous situations with confidence and sound judgment while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Follow established procedures while also identifying and proposing creative, scalable solutions to recurring issues.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with spreadsheets and data filtering.
  • Ability to work independently and think critically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Customer service BG, preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and experience in a performance-based role.
  • Customer service skills with a focus on vendor management and client support.
  • Proficiency in using technology and comfort working in tech-driven systems (tech savvy).
  • Ability to manage logistics, transportation, account management, inventory, supply chain, and freight-related tasks.
  • Capability to follow through on cases from initiation to resolution while meeting performance metrics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with transportation terminology and supply chain concepts.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence tools and Large Language Models.
  • Previous experience in logistics, account management, vendor management, or related fields requiring data analysis.
  • Experience in roles requiring verification and validation of information.
  • Experience tracking products and shipment records across systems.
  • Demonstrated record of career growth in previous positions.
  • Ability to connect complex information, identify patterns, and scale up solutions.
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy while meeting productivity expectations.
  • Skill in building and maintaining effective relationships with vendors and carriers.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset and willingness to go beyond following instructions.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position based at the AZA1 building in Tempe, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will work in a technology-driven environment that relies on a proprietary communication platform, spreadsheets, and data tools to manage shipper support cases and transportation operations. The role follows a contract-to-hire model, with the opportunity for conversion to full-time employment. The work environment emphasizes structured performance metrics, comprehensive training, and clear expectations for accuracy and productivity. Upon conversion to full-time, the position offers a competitive pay increase, full benefits and vacation time, college tuition support, and yearly reviews that may increase the pay rate by up to 8%. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
