    JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

    The primary activities of this role have matters of significance relating to the business operations of POET Pure and its customers which require the exercise of discretion and independent judgment.  This role will focus on our Carbon Dioxide and Fuel Transportation business segments. The position is full-time status in the logistics department and will report to the Transportation Manager.

    This is an on-site role located in Wichita, KS.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Supervision of drivers and managing the utilization of equipment.
    • Leadership responsibilities also include coaching, managing performance and career development.
    • Communication with our schedulers, drivers, fleet personnel and customers.
    • Maximize profitability through the optimization of equipment utilization and available driver hours.
    • Setting up and dispatching shipments with company drivers and brokered drivers.
    • Coordinating equipment repairs and preventive maintenance with fleet management.
    • Monitoring key performance indicators and taking appropriate action to maximize value.
    • Data entry and reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS & Skills

    • 2+ Years’ experience managing small to medium staff
    • Regional truck or freight dispatch experience.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to work in a team environment with limited oversight.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and relational skills.
    • Proven track record of exhibiting good problem-solving skills and being a dependable, self-motivated employee.
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills with a sense of urgency that drives results.
    • Knowledge or experience that will put you ahead: Petroleum, CO2 or ethanol industry, dispatching bulk hazardous materials.
    • In addition to the requirements above, the following skills will be preferred in selecting the right candidate:
    • Experience in the petroleum, CO2 or ethanol industry.
    • Experience dispatching bulk hazardous materials.
    • Experience in a corporate business setting.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Up to 15% travel is required for this position to visit facilities, attend meetings, and site visits. At times, overnight travel may be required.
    • Ability to be on call 24/7 with rotational weekends.
    • The Wichita POET office is a fully open-concept design with no offices. This design is intended to promote open communication and collaboration.
