We're a new approach to an old problem. Job Summary: The Transportation Specialist provides safe, reliable, and timely transportation for individuals accessing behavioral health services. As an important first point of contact for individuals entering care, this role requires professionalism, compassion, strong communication skills, and a safety-focused mindset. Working closely with the Admissions, Business Development, and Intake Teams, the Transportation Specialist coordinates transportation schedules, communicates changes or delays, maintains required documentation, and ensures individuals arrive safely and on time for scheduled appointments. This position helps reduce transportation barriers and supports a positive, seamless admissions experience. Core Responsibilities: Assist with providing transportation for individuals who may have difficulty accessing behavioral health services due to transportation barriers.Confirm pickup and appointment details before each scheduled trip.Arrive at designated pickup locations on time and communicate appropriately with clients regarding arrival.Build and maintain respectful and supportive relationships with clients, creating a calm and professional environment during transport. Offer reassurance and guidance related to recovery-oriented conversation when appropriate, especially during client transitions or crises.Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate and within the scope of the position. Recognize and respond appropriately to client behavior, including crisis or high-stress situations. Alert clinical or supervisory staff if a client exhibits signs of distress or behavioral concerns during transport.Collaborate closely with admissions, business development, clinical staff, recovery housing, and administrative teams to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination of client transport needs.Plan efficient routes and manage multiple client pick-up/drop-off schedules. Communicate changes or delays promptly to supervisors and relevant departments.Conduct daily vehicle inspections for cleanliness, fuel levels, and basic maintenance needs.Report any safety concerns or mechanical issues immediately and follow all safety protocols.Accurately maintain logs, time sheets, incident reports, and transport records.Ensure all documentation complies with organizational standards.Coordinate with third-party transportation providers when needed.Establish and maintain positive working relationships with carriers to ensure timely and reliable service.Follow all organizational policies, including safety, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines. Protect client information and always maintain strict confidentiality.Perform other duties as assigned.Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. License Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, be 21 years or older, and be deemed insurable through Team Recovery's insurance carrier.CDCA and QMHS III license preferred.CPI Certification preferred.CPR Certification required, will train upon hire. Experience Requirements: 1 or more years of experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Sound judgment and situational awareness.
