Transportation Specialist
Parkersburg WV
This position is in the Operations Department and reports primarily to the Account Supervisor at customer location. This position will be responsible for customer outcomes by providing support to both the drivers and the Account Supervisor.
- Work with Aim Account Supervisor to identify inbound/outbound 3rd party opportunities
- Work with the Aim Account Supervisor to schedule and coordinate inbound/outbound loads with drivers or carrier dispatch
- Communicate directly with account drivers or 3rd party carriers to confirm successful completion of all outbound loads and backhaul legs
- Source freight opportunities that coincide with account schedules and operations
- Work with Aim Account Supervisor in establish clear policies and procedures (standard operating procedures) for the fleet of drivers.
- Assist in the development of weekly schedule for account drivers & 3PL carriers based on forecasted volumes.
- build and maintain relationships with key people within account
- verify drivers are doing post trip inspections to ensure no delays in departure for drivers by performing spot checks on equipment, report findings to Account Manager.
- perform yard check/list duties as needed to prepare for dispatch reportswork as a liaison between drivers/customer and our shop (on site) to verify defects are rectified in a timely manner.
- review and approve loads/paperwork from the past dispatches.
- perform systematic audits to ensure all loads and reporting correctly
- perform driver interviews & road tests when needed
- Move equipment locally as needed (Yard work / Local shuttle)
- Acquire equipment both locally and regionally when need

Pay Range: 52000.00-58000.00 per_year, General Benefits:
Requirements
- Applicable business or logistics experience preferred
- Must have a strong understanding of TMS and transportation market conditions
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Valid Class A CDL
