This role is a great fit for someone who isreliable, patient, safety-focused, and committed to providing excellent service.Position SummaryThe Transportation Specialist is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and professional pupiltransportation services. Drivers will operate company-provided vehicles, transport small groupsof students, assist students as needed, and follow all company safety procedures andtransportation guidelines.The ideal candidate will bring strong driving skills, good judgment, professionalism, and a caringattitude when working with students of all ages, including students with special needs.Key Responsibilities• Safely transport students to and from school, appointments, and other approved outingsas needed• Assist students to and from the vehicle and help them safely enter and exit the vehicle• Safely load, unload, and secure students during transportation• Escort students to their destination location when required• Communicate with Dispatchers regarding location, status, and updates as needed• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Complete daily driving logs, incident reports, and other required documentation• Report vehicle maintenance issues immediately• Maintain the vehicle by keeping it clean and fueled• Follow all traffic laws, company operating procedures, dress code, and safety policies• Perform all job functions in a professional, reliable, and respectful manner• Perform additional duties as assignedQualificationsRequired• Valid driver's license issued by the state of legal residence• Acceptable driving record as shown on Motor Vehicle Record check• Ability to pass a company-sponsored drug screening• Ability to pass a company-sponsored physical exam• Ability to pass a company-sponsored criminal background check• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to read, write legibly, and complete required reports• Good judgment, problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making ability• Ability to work independently and professionally with students, families, dispatchers, andteam membersPreferred• Previous professional driving experience• Experience working with children, students, or individuals with special needs• Transportation, school transportation, caregiving, or community service experience• Familiarity with safety procedures, daily logs, and vehicle inspectionsSchedule and Job Details• Flexible schedules available• No weekends, evenings, or major holidays• Most drivers start between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM• Drivers may work up to 8+ hours per straight shift or 5+ hours per split shift• Average of 3-5 students per vehicle• Paid training provided• Weekly pay• CDL is not required• Company provides vehicles and pays for maintenance and fuelBenefits Offered• Vision insurance• Dental insurance• Life insurance• Employee Assistance Program• Sign-on bonus of up to $1,000• Employee referral bonuses• Paid training• Weekly payWhy Join This Team?• Competitive pay at $19.00 per hour• Flexible part-time or full-time scheduling options• No weekends or major holidays• Small passenger groups• Opportunity to provide a valuable service to the community• Supportive team environment• Meaningful work helping students get to school safely every dayPhysical and Work Requirements• Ability to work in different weather and lighting conditions, including day, darkness,rain, snow, heat, and cold• Ability to work alone, with others, and around students• Minimal lifting, walking, and stepping in and out of a van• Ability to hear, listen, see, and speak clearly• Ability to use hands, fingers, and feet while driving and assisting students• Ability to demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-makingAdditional Requirements• Must be authorized to work in the United States• Must live locally or be willing to commute to the Wichita, KS area• Preference may be given to candidates within a reasonable commuting distance• Must meet all driving, background, physical, drug screening, and schedulingrequirements for the roleEqual Employment OpportunityEqual Opportunity Employer: Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing and our client are EqualOpportunity Employers.
