    Position Title: Transportation Special Education Assistant

    Qualifications:

    Qualified candidates should possess:

    • A high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Preference given to candidates with an associate degree; or completion of a formal state or local assessment.
    • Instructional and/or supervising experience with children.
    • Certified or eligible for certification as a Special Education Paraprofessional (License #883).
    • Experience working with students with special needs.
    • Consistency in response to children; patient and reliable.

    Reports To: Director of Transportation

    Terms of Employment: Position is Limited Term and therefore not eligible for benefits as per the Employee Handbook. 4.15 hours a day. Scheduled hours per day on days students are present. Salary is according to the wage schedule.
