PAY:
- $54,000 - $58,000 (based on experience)
SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday
- Weekend overtime
- On-call
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of drivers & clerks ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes various administrative duties to support driver & Clerk functions and stepping in when necessary to cover shifts and breaks. In this role, the Site Manager will provide hands-on supervision of employee work assignments, ensuring maximum productivity and quality of work. The role involves ensuring compliance with customer guidelines and requirements, maintaining appropriate staffing levels to meet productivity and goals, and conditioning regular inventory, equipment and safety audits. The Site Manager will be responsible for identifying maintenance needs for equipment and initiating the repair process as needed. This position demands a proactive approach to management and a commitment to fostering a productive work environment.
- Manage day-to-day operations.
- Performs various administrative duties in support of the yard, drivers, clerks and customers.
- Provides hands-on supervision of employee work assignments to ensure maximum productivity.
- Ensure compliance with customer guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to satisfy production goals.
- Conduct inventory, equipment, and safety audits and inspections as required.
- Identify trailers and equipment maintenance needs and initiate the repair process.
- Implement and enforce all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Participate in training and development to stay current with best practices and safety regulations.
- Communicate with customers, handle and resolve issues.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures.
- Manage all shifts at your site.
- Other duties as assigned and needed.
- Work closely with clerks and identifying mistakes in paperwork coming into the yard from 3rd party drivers
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Valid CDLA
- Site Management: 1 year (required)
- Clerical office work 1 year (required)
- Google Workplace experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Understanding of proactive safety and leadership to deliver guidelines.
- Sense of urgency.
- Work well under pressure.
- Working knowledge of the logistics industry.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Adaptability, flexibility and problem solving skills.
- Customer centric mindset
- Accurate documentation and record-keeping ability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
