TITLE: Secretary II
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrates competence in computer applications skills
- Additional criteria as the Board may establish
REPORTS TO: Director/Supervisor
SUPERVISES: None
JOB GOAL: To perform assigned duties efficiently and in a manner that will facilitate the smooth functioning of the office and its program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performance general office work in relieving the director/supervisor of routine office duties
- Maintain inventories
- Receive and distribute mail
- Type correspondence and handbook materials, as requested by the director/supervisor
- Maintain a filing system
- Duplicate office materials
- Prepare reports
- Greet visitors and direct them according to need
- Answer and place telephone calls
- Purchase supplies according to procedure
- Perform computer tasks as required by the director/supervisor
- Maintain budgets using MS Excel
- Perform other duties as assigned by the proper authority
- Coordinate written and verbal communication between central office and schools
- Conform to the regular time schedule for arriving and leaving the office
- He/she shall be on the job at all times except in case of personal emergency, sickness, or as released for school-related business by the director/supervisor and/or superintendent. In the event that he/she has to be absent, the immediate supervisor shall be notified in a timely manner.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated at least once annually in accordance with Board Policy.
