This strictly analytical role supports air, ocean, truckload, LTL, expedited/hotshot, custom crating, secure logistics, and other transportation modes. The analyst will develop performance metrics, work on analytical projects, identify cost and process improvements, and provide data-driven recommendations to logistics leadership and cross-functional teams. All responsibilities are analytical and strategic in nature. This position must be based in Frederick, MD; Columbia, MD; or Coppell, TX.
Your tasks

- Develop and maintain transportation KPIs and reporting related to delivery performance, transit variability, claims, damage, packaging, crating, handling, and overall logistics quality.
- Perform root-cause analysis of service failures, cost variances, data issues, and performance gaps; recommend corrective actions without operational execution responsibility.
- Evaluate volume growth, capacity, consolidation, mode-shift, standardization, scalability, and other transportation network opportunities.
- Design and maintain dashboards and standardized reports using data from SAP/ERP, transportation management, carrier, freight audit, and other logistics systems.
- Improve data quality, governance, reporting standards, metric definitions, and performance visibility across logistics datasets.
- Analyze high-value, export-controlled, and secure shipment data to support audit readiness, traceability, compliance, and transportation risk monitoring.
- Provide analytical support for strategic logistics initiatives, network changes, and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Logistics Operations, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Production, Program Management, Trade Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Present findings, business cases, and recommendations to leadership and provide guidance to analysts and business partners as appropriate.
