    Department of Human Resources Job Title: Transportation Clerk - HR Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of Transportation, HR Pay Grade: PP03, 8h, 226 days Dept./School: Transportation Date Revised: August 2026 Primary Purpose: Work directly with the payroll department and human resources to ensure correct processing of new employees before they begin work in the district. Assist with daily operations of Transportation office. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to process sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing Frontline experience, preferred Excellent organizational skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Bilingual, preferred Experience: Two years of clerical experience, education setting preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    1. Keep daily record to process all paper and online applications in a timely manner.

    2. Provides employess and general public with common answers to general HR FAQ's.

    3. Receive, and review applications, including verifying completeness of files. and assist in communications to applicants and candidates.

    4. Assist in coordinating interviews, job fairs, and onboarding.

    5. Process new hire paperwork and other application materials as needed.

    6. Enter and update employee information in the central database.

    7. Assist in processes, and maintenance of all personnel records for all Transportation employees.

    8. Distribute uniforms to new hires.

    9. Create, edit, and run reports. Complete data entry using spreadsheets and databases.

    10. File, organize, and coordinate office records, to include retention records. Other

    12. Greet visitors and assist employees and applicants to complete applications and required paperwork.

    13. Maintain confidentiality.

    14. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; imaging equipment Posture: Frequent walking, standing, bending/stooping, and reaching.
