The Transportation & Facilities Assistant (TFA) supports Successful Living’s daily operations by providing clients with safe and reliable transportation to and from appointments, scheduled activities, and other approved destinations. When not completing transportation assignments, the TFA will assist the Maintenance and Custodial teams with routine cleaning, groundskeeping, and other basic facility-upkeep tasks. This is a full-time, hourly position with no expected overtime. The schedule is primarily M-F, 9am-5pm, but it may be modified as needed to accommodate regular transportation assignments.
CORE DUTIES:
CLIENT TRANSPORTATION
- Provide clients with safe and timely transportation
- Build good rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
- Assist clients with entering, exiting, loading, and unloading the vehicle as needed
- Maintain an accurate and accessible calendar for transportation bookings
- Communicate delays and other transportation issues to appropriate staff and/or clients
- Maintain agency-owned vehicle, keeping it clean, fueled, and ready for use
- Report all vehicle, client, and staff concerns to appropriate supervisors as soon as possible
- Follow all traffic laws, parking requirements, and agency expectations
- Keep accurate log of all trips (passengers present, start/stop times, miles driven, and trip purpose)
- Save and submit all fuel, parking, vehicle maintenance receipts to the Finance Director
FACILITIES SUPPORT
- Perform basic cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning common areas, and restocking supplies
- Remove garbage and recycling, replacing liners as needed
- Assist with lawn mowing, trimming, leaf removal, snow removal, and other basic seasonal groundskeeping tasks
- Help move, organize, deliver, assemble, or store furniture, equipment, and supplies as assigned
- Perform minor work orders and upkeep tasks within training and ability
- Maintain orderly work areas
TEAM AND AGENCY PARTICIPATION
- Attend all staff meetings as required
- Participate in additional training as assigned
- Collaborate with other staff and programs as needed
OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED AND/OR ASSIGNED

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass multiple background checks, including but not limited to dependent adult/child abuse and criminal background check and driving records check
- Maintain valid driver’s license and reliable, privately insured car, as well as insurability with agency insurance requirements
PREFERRED
- Previous human services or customer service experience
- Previous groundskeeping, maintenance, and/or custodial experience
