Qualifications
Location: Exeter, NH | 100% On-Site
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday | Weekend & On-Call Availability
We are seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to coordinate drivers, trucks, customers, and daily transportation activities in real time. This is a fast-paced role for someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and can manage multiple priorities at once.
What You’ll Do
Answer incoming calls and route them appropriately
Dispatch multiple drivers and trucks based on location, timing, equipment, and availability
Gather information quickly and communicate instructions clearly to drivers and supervisors
Maintain accurate call and billing records in Towbook
Support Transportation Supervisors with driver scheduling
Provide professional customer service and resolve issues efficiently
Ensure drivers complete required paperwork and review documentation for accuracy
Identify and resolve logistical issues before they cause delays
Apply knowledge of FMCSA weight, height, and length regulations
Assist with oversized/overweight permitting when needed
What We’re Looking For
Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Excellent problem-solving skills and composure in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using dispatch software, GPS systems, Samsara, Towbook, and Microsoft Office
Strong keyboard and communication skills
Previous logistics or dispatch experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Equipment, trucking, or construction knowledge is a plus
