Transportation Defense Associate Attorney

I'm working with one of the Northeast's premier litigation firms, which is adding an Associate to defend transportation matters in New York. This is a hybrid role for an experienced litigator who can run cases from start to finish.

What you'll do:

- Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution

- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and meet deadlines

- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials

- Work with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys on litigation strategy, and give clients regular status updates

- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

- Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers

What you'll bring:

- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar

- 5+ years of experience defending transportation, construction litigation, and tort liability matters

- Experience taking and defending depositions and preparing and filing dispositive motions

- Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations
