Description:
- Manages the activities in such functions as dock operations, material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, management, and scheduling of shipments (full truck, LTL, rail, containers, etc.).
- Use overhead cranes/hoists as well as a ground support for Mi-Jack Crane operations to load finished goods onto flatbed trucks for shipping.
- Tarp, seal, and package finished goods for protection during shipping.
- Scan Finished Goods unit for Inventory Accuracy using RF-Scanner into the tablet.
- Work efficiently and effectively to ensure the shipping schedule remains on-time, minimizing truck detention.
- Operate a forklift to move material and finished goods around the stock yard.
- Ensure all finished goods units have been identified via the paperwork using a pick list and yard reports prior to shipping a unit.
- Identify ways to improve the efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes in the workstation.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and all related shipping areas to help maintain 5S requirements within the entire department.
- High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
- Willingness to learn and cross train on multiple shipping functions within the department.
- Mandatory overtime and weekend hours are frequent and may be assigned as needed.
- Good communication skills relative to all members of management within the Shipping team and other related departments.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork are required
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- HS Diploma/GED
