Title:            Transportation Coordinator - ADV
Location:             Charlotte, NC 28269
Duration:        12+ Months
Payrate:         $28/hr on w2

Working Hours:   1st shift, M-F 8: 30am - 4: 30pm with OT available
 
Description:
  • Manages the activities in such functions as dock operations, material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, management, and scheduling of shipments (full truck, LTL, rail, containers, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Use overhead cranes/hoists as well as a ground support for Mi-Jack Crane operations to load finished goods onto flatbed trucks for shipping.
  • Tarp, seal, and package finished goods for protection during shipping.
  • Scan Finished Goods unit for Inventory Accuracy using RF-Scanner into the tablet.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to ensure the shipping schedule remains on-time, minimizing truck detention.
  • Operate a forklift to move material and finished goods around the stock yard.
  • Ensure all finished goods units have been identified via the paperwork using a pick list and yard reports prior to shipping a unit.
  • Identify ways to improve the efficiency and safety of manufacturing processes in the workstation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation and all related shipping areas to help maintain 5S requirements within the entire department.
  • High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Willingness to learn and cross train on multiple shipping functions within the department.
  • Mandatory overtime and weekend hours are frequent and may be assigned as needed.
  • Good communication skills relative to all members of management within the Shipping team and other related departments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork are required
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
Education      
  • HS Diploma/GED
