Transmission Service Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor for a performance transmission shop. This position will serve as the main point of contact between customers and technicians, managing repair orders and keeping customers informed throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and identify transmission concerns and symptoms.

• Create repair orders and prepare parts and labor estimates.

• Explain transmission diagnostics, repairs, rebuilds, and recommendations to customers.

• Obtain repair authorizations and provide status updates.

• Coordinate workflow with transmission technicians and management.

• Schedule appointments and handle incoming service calls.

• Coordinate parts as needed.

• Review completed work orders and invoices for accuracy.

• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications

• Service Advisor or Service Writer experience preferred.

• Transmission or drivetrain knowledge strongly preferred.

• Understanding of transmission diagnostics, rebuilds, torque converters, clutches, and related components is a plus.

• Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills.

• Organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.

• Valid driver's license.
