Salary:
Engineer IV: $112,585 - $192,317
Midpoint: $152,452
Engineer V: $130,666 - $228,062
Midpoint: $179,364

Starting pay is based on job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, internal alignment, and organizational needs. Most new hires are typically placed between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Position Summary
Be part of a Power Delivery team responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining electrical equipment within Grant County PUD’s transmission and distribution facilities. This position is responsible for providing knowledge and expertise related to transmission, distribution, substations, and SCADA automation and other supporting facilities within Grant County PUD’s Power Delivery Department.

Leads capital execution of projects as it relates to transmission design, materials, and equipment. Leads the development of processes focusing on operations and engineering practices that drive strong reliability and performance. Leads the Transmission project team towards establishment of technical qualifications and policies, reviews equipment specifications, and ensures equipment design is per the District requirement.
Coordinates with different stakeholders and provides direct input to transmission project plans. Develops design requirements relating to the application of equipment in transmission systems and assists with interpretation and communication of company policies and procedures to internal stakeholders and external project support partners. Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in PLS-CADD or comparable engineering design tool, including ability to model and analyze designs of intermediate complexity.
Provides technical expertise and/or team leadership as needed. Develops training for engineers/partner groups and assists less experienced colleagues in planning, conceptual/detail engineering, and the field. Serves as a management consultant on engineering problems and issues. Controls technical, financial, and service commitments to internal and external customers.
Provides strong project management support for medium/large-sized projects. Serves as an expert in utilizing skills related to best industry practice, Utility Standards, Codes, or other Legal Standards required for safe and reliable equipment operation. Performs work on systems with the highest level of risk to regulatory compliance and demonstrates extreme familiarity with impacts to FERC, NERC, and CIP compliance standards.
