In the Power sector, you'll help shape how electricity is generated, transmitted, and delivered as global energy demands grow.About the RoleHDR Engineering is looking for a Transmission Line Project Manager/Team Lead to join our Phoenix Power Delivery program. This role manages the execution of all aspects of high‑voltage electric transmission line projects of all sizes and complexity, including scope and proposal development, project team formation, execution, closeout, and quality control, schedule, and budget management.ResponsibilitiesDirect supervision over an existing team of 3‑4 engineers and designers, with a goal to grow the team.Client, project, staff supervision, and technical support activities.Manage and lead transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle.Apply basic project‑management tools and techniques, including work‑breakdown structures, scope, schedule, budget, risk, financial controls, earned value, communication, change management, and project closeout.Coordinate with marketing and technical leadership for business development, leveraging client relationships to create new transmission opportunities.Coordinate with company recruiting staff and leadership to develop a hiring plan and grow a group of transmission professionals.Supervise a local transmission team, overseeing workload, quality, utilization, morale, training, and annual performance reviews.Oversee non‑engineering components such as public involvement, environmental permitting, right‑of‑way acquisition, construction management, and other services.Lead the QA/QC process on projects, committed to delivering world‑class quality.Mentor, train, or supervise one or more PMs, Project Engineers, EITs, CADD/Designers, and administrative staff.Preferred QualificationsLicense or certification.PMP certification.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field.7 years related experience.Minimum of 2 years project management experience.Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.Commitment to being an active participant of HDR's employee‑owned culture.Benefits and CompensationWe provide a comprehensive benefits package that promotes employee ownership, health, performance, and success, including medical, dental, vision, short and long‑term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, paid time off, parental leave, paid holidays, a retirement savings plan with employer match, employee referral bonus, and tuition reimbursement.
