    The Firm Planning Transformation Consultant serves as a trusted strategic advisor to functional and executive leaders, helping translate firm priorities into actionable plans that drive business outcomes. This role provides planning expertise, objective analysis, and decision support to support investment decisions, resource allocation, transformation initiatives, and enterprise growth opportunities.

    Working across business functions and key partners including Finance, Human Capital, Digital, and Corporate Development, the consultant helps leaders evaluate opportunities, navigate complexity, align stakeholders, and drive execution readiness. This highly visible role combines strategic planning, governance, and transformation leadership to ensure initiatives deliver long-term value, operational effectiveness, and organizational alignment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders, translating firm priorities into actionable plans, roadmaps, and investment strategies.
    • Partner with stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and business impacts.
    • Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and planning frameworks that support decision-making and resource allocation.
    • Lead planning and coordination efforts for strategic transformation initiatives, including business integration and operating model changes.
    • Facilitate prioritization, governance, and cross-functional alignment to drive successful execution of key initiatives.
    • Monitor strategic plans and initiatives, identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
    • Design and lead planning sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to build consensus and organizational alignment.
    • Develop tools, metrics, and best practices that improve planning effectiveness, transparency, and governance readiness.
    • Influence executive decision-making through data-driven insights, clear storytelling, and actionable recommendations.
    • Foster collaboration across Corporate Development, Finance, Human Capital, Digital, and business teams to achieve enterprise objectives.
    • Identify and address organizational barriers that impact strategic execution and long-term success.
    • Mentor planning professionals and contribute to the advancement of strategic planning capabilities across the firm.

    Must Have Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 6+ years of experience in strategic planning, transformation, consulting, finance, portfolio management, or a related field.
    • Experience advising senior leaders on planning, prioritization, investment, and resource allocation decisions.
    • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
    • Ability to influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a complex environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or a related field.
    • 11+ years of relevant experience.
    • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, business integration, or M&A initiatives.
    • Experience presenting to executive leadership and governance committees.
    • Series 7, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, or similar certifications.

    Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
