The Opportunity

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Transformation and Change Projects Manager to play a key role in delivering organisational transformation and continuous improvement across our growing organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation and Change, you will lead and coordinate a diverse portfolio of transformation projects and change initiatives that support the delivery of our Corporate Plan and strategic priorities.

 

This is a varied and influential role where you will work with leaders, managers and partners across the organisation to design and implement change, improve services, strengthen governance arrangements and support the development of our Target Operating Model. You will combine project and programme management expertise with business analysis, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement skills to help deliver meaningful organisational outcomes.

 

As part of a developing Transformation and Change function, you will have the opportunity to shape how the organisation delivers change, embed new ways of working and support services to become increasingly efficient, effective and outcome-focused.

 

What you will bring

  •        Experience of working within a project, programme, transformation or change management environment.
  •        A track record of successfully delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  •        Experience of supporting organisational change, service improvement or transformation initiatives.
  •        Strong project and programme management knowledge, including governance, risk management and benefits realisation.
  •        Experience of business analysis activities such as process mapping, requirements gathering and organisational review.
  •        The ability to analyse and present data and insight to support decision-making and performance improvement.
  •        Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships.
  •        Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  •        A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  •        A relevant project management qualification together with strong analytical and report-writing skills.
