The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority was established as a new organisation in early 2024.  It is a public sector employer with access to powers and funding to unlock transport and housing improvements, boost skills provision and help the economy transition to net zero for York and North Yorkshire. The Opportunity

 

The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Transformation and Change Project Officer to support the delivery of a wide-ranging programme of organisational transformation and improvement.

 

Reporting to the Transformation and Change Projects Manager, you will play an important role in supporting projects that help shape how the organisation operates, develops services and delivers its strategic priorities.

 

Working across a varied portfolio of transformation activity, you will support project planning, governance, business analysis, performance monitoring and stakeholder engagement. You will help coordinate projects and programmes, gather and analyse information, prepare reports and briefings, and work with colleagues across the organisation to implement effective and sustainable change.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project, programme or transformation experience who wants to further develop their skills in organisational change, service improvement and strategic delivery within a growing organisation.

 

What you will bring

  •        Experience of working within a project, programme, transformation or change environment.
  •        Experience of supporting the delivery of projects, workstreams or organisational improvement initiatives.
  •        Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  •        Experience of gathering, analysing and presenting information and data to support decision-making.
  •        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including producing reports, presentations and briefings.
  •        Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and building positive working relationships.
  •        An understanding of project and programme management principles, governance and performance reporting.·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  •        The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  •        A relevant project management qualification or willingness to apply existing project management knowledge and experience.
