Job Summary:

The Office of Admissions is seeking a Transfer Services Manager. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. This position is located in Bend, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary OSU representative for prospective transfer students and Degree Partnership Program participants throughout Central and Eastern Oregon
• Promote and support Oregon State University's Degree Partnership Program and related transfer pathways.
• Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with community colleges across Central and Eastern Oregon serving as a liaison between OSU academic and student support units and regional educational partners.
• Provide individualized guidance to prospective transfer and DPP students regarding admissions processes, transfer pathways, academic opportunities, financial aid, and student resources.
• Support, coordinate and represent OSU through programs and events both at OSU Cascades and partner community colleges.

The Transfer Services Manager serves as Oregon State University's primary regional representative for prospective transfer students and Degree Partnership Program (DPP) participants throughout Central and Eastern Oregon. Based in Bend, Oregon, on the OSU-Cascades campus, this position provides strategic leadership, outreach, recruitment, advising coordination, and partnership development designed to increase access, enrollment, and student success for transfer-bound students seeking bachelor's degree completion through OSU-Cascades, Corvallis and Ecampus.

The Transfer Services Manager builds and sustains collaborative relationships with community colleges, educational partners, and community stakeholders across the region. The position serves as a key ambassador for Oregon State University's transfer pathways and the Degree Partnership Program, helping students navigate successful transitions from two-year and other transfer institutions to OSU while supporting equitable access and degree attainment.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in field of choice from regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum one year full-time professional experience working in a higher education student services role (or a related field including K-12 education or non-profit work) such as recruiting and admissions, advising, orientation, international programs, financial aid, career services, academic programs, or related fields.
• Demonstrated professional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational/project management, public speaking, and event planning skills with keen attention to detail 
• Demonstrated collaborative skills working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to an organization.
• Enthusiastic and strong motivation to promote student success.
• Ability to think clearly under pressure and demonstrate professionalism in working with a diverse clientele.
• Ability to interpret, apply, and explain complex information and handle difficult inter-personal situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and adapt to ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to utilize a computer and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusive excellence, and the ability to work with other individuals whose culture and/or beliefs may differ from your own.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  A combination of experience in an administrative role in Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, Student Success, distance education/online learning or academic articulation, academic advising.
•  In depth knowledge of transfer student issues.
•  Experience as a transfer student.
•  Proficiency in BANNER SIS, Slate, DegreeWorks or other CRMs
•  Graduate degree in College Student Services Administration, Higher Education, Counseling, or another relevant field
•  Previous experience with community college and/or transfer student populations (particularly in an academic advising or recruiting role)
• Fluency in a second language, Spanish preferred.
