We, in Learning and Organization Development (LOD), are part of the Human Resources department and provide learning and organization development services for all divisions of the Metropolitan Council. We support employee learning by providing training, education, and development opportunities for Council employees. We also support the overall effectiveness of the organization by providing consulting services to managers and leaders.

Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $92,997 - $111,000
Full Salary Range: $81,973 - $132,933
This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to work onsite at least four days per pay period, with additional onsite time based on business needs. The selected candidates permanent residence must be in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Training Specialist will provide instructor-led skills training to employees from all areas of the organization. They are involved in all aspects of the training process - analyzing needs, designing and developing training, presenting the training, and conducting evaluation. Skills and content covered in the training include leadership, management, and professional and technical skill development. Training may also include application of technology to work processes. They are also responsible for other training-related functions, such as management of learning in1tiat1ves and facilitation of work and project groups. In addition, they provide facilitation and some administration of the Council s New Employee Orientation (NEO) programming (every Monday, except agency holidays).
