Training Specialist

Long-Term Temporary Approx. 1 Year | Potential Temp-to-Hire
HTSS is hiring an experienced Training Specialist for a long-term opportunity with a large utility company in Johnston, RI. This is a hybrid role, typically TuesdayThursday in the office, with some flexibility.
Were looking for someone who can develop training content, deliver training, and become a subject matter expert on the systems and processes they support.
What Youll Do
Develop and update Instructor-Led Training (ILT), SOPs, job aids, eLearning content, and assessments
Facilitate classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training
Become a subject matter expert on assigned systems, processes, and procedures
Partner with operational and product teams to identify training needs and curriculum gaps
Update training materials as systems and procedures change
Track participation, assessment results, retraining needs, and program effectiveness
Recommend improvements based on training evaluations and results
Utilize current training methods, tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Manage multiple training initiatives and stakeholders
Support emergency/storm-response activities when required
Qualifications
Bachelors degree OR at least 5 years of progressive training experience
Experience developing and facilitating technical or operational training
Experience creating classroom and eLearning materials
Strong facilitation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to translate complex information into clear, effective training
Knowledge of training platforms, tools, and LMS technology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred: Utility industry, contact center/customer service training, or regulated-industry experience.
