Job Summary
The Training Specialist Associate serves as the primary lead for training and development within Nursing Clerical Services, part of Central Staffing Resource (CSR). This role is responsible for identifying the skills and training needs of the clerical team , designing and delivering structured education programs, and supporting onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing development of inpatient unit clerks and clerical staff across supported units.
The position plays a key role in promoting standardized practices, supporting operational and organizational initiatives, and ensuring clerical staff are prepared to meet workflow, regulatory, and patient experience expectations.
This role also serves as the Safety Liaison for Clerical Services, supporting a culture of safety, compliance, and staff readiness.
This is an onsite position.

Required Qualifications*
0-2 years Experience in training, staff development, education, or a related field.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with computer systems and applications, including demonstrated ability to effectively utilize electronic medical record systems.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
