We are seeking an experienced Training, Policy & Process Specialist for an immediate, project-based opportunity supporting an organization in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Candidates must have prior experience working within workforce development, federal or state-funded programs, nonprofit organizations, government programs, or a closely related regulated environment.
This role will partner with leadership, Human Resources, department managers, and subject-matter experts to develop, improve, and standardize training plans, onboarding resources, policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and other organizational documentation.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, critical thinker, and problem solver who can take loosely defined information, ask effective questions, identify gaps, and translate organizational knowledge and operational requirements into clear, practical, and professional documentation.
Develop role-specific training plans aligned with job descriptions, responsibilities, competencies, and day-to-day duties.
Create and update onboarding plans and supporting materials to ensure employees receive appropriate role-specific training.
Review job descriptions and operational requirements to identify training needs, learning objectives, competencies, and performance expectations.
Partner with HR and department leadership to keep training and onboarding documentation aligned with evolving roles and responsibilities.
Develop training guides, job aids, reference materials, checklists, FAQs, templates, and employee resources.
Draft, review, revise, and standardize organizational policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs.
Interview subject-matter experts to capture workflows, responsibilities, processes, and institutional knowledge.
Review existing policies, training materials, onboarding plans, and procedures to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and outdated information.
Create process maps, workflows, templates, and standardized organizational documentation.
Assist with compliance, quality assurance, and program-related documentation.
Establish consistent documentation standards and version-control practices.
Recommend practical improvements to training programs, onboarding resources, policies, procedures, and operational processes.
Support special projects involving research, documentation, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
Manage multiple projects and deliverables while meeting established deadlines.
Professional experience within workforce development, federal or state-funded programs, nonprofit organizations, government/public-sector programs, or a similar regulated environment.
Experience in Training & Development, Human Resources, Technical Writing, Policy Development, Program Operations, Process Improvement, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience developing or writing training plans, policies, SOPs, procedures, onboarding materials, or operational documentation.
Ability to review job descriptions and job responsibilities and translate them into structured training requirements and learning objectives.
Strong professional, technical, and business writing skills.
Strong critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to independently gather information, identify gaps, and develop polished professional deliverables.
Strong interviewing, communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
Ability to work onsite in Tarrant County or the Greater Dallas area and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams.

This position requires someone who is comfortable working with ambiguity, can independently drive documentation projects forward, and understands the importance of consistency, compliance, and clearly documented processes within funded or regulated program environments.
