Job Overview:

As a Training Director at Chick-fil-A, you will play a critical role in the development and success of our team members. You will be responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing training programs that ensure all staff members are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and attitude needed to provide exceptional service, uphold Chick-fil-A's high standards, and contribute to the restaurant’s success.

The Training Director will focus on fostering a positive and educational environment, driving employee engagement, and ensuring consistent training across all positions within the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Development & Delivery:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all restaurant positions, including front-of-house and back-of-house roles.
  • Create training materials that align with Chick-fil-A's values, customer service standards, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct orientation and on-the-job training for new hires, ensuring they understand their role and responsibilities from day one.
  • Provide hands-on training and coaching to improve staff performance, ensuring they can effectively carry out tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect new operational procedures, menu items, or company policies.

Team Development:

  • Work closely with restaurant management to identify skill gaps and provide targeted training to address performance improvements.
  • Mentor and coach team leaders and shift supervisors, helping them develop leadership and coaching skills to further support their teams.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where employees feel encouraged to learn and grow within the restaurant.

Performance Tracking & Improvement:

  • Track training progress and measure the success of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics.
  • Regularly assess team members’ skills and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous development.
  • Utilize performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and adjust training programs as needed.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between restaurant management and team members, advocating for continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant leadership team to align training efforts with business goals and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Lead regular team meetings to reinforce Chick-fil-A’s values, customer service expectations, and operational best practices.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure that all training complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Previous experience in training or coaching teams is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Chick-fil-A’s brand and core values.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software.
  • Ability to train and coach others
  • Self motivated
